  Staff are very attentive and friendly at the Freeport Braintree store, even though it was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. It was an pleasant and easy shopping experience - I tried on about six different pairs of sunglasses which are readily on display, chose one of the pairs and the salesperson directed me to the till, where they brought me a brand new pair to check. They seemed fine, I paid and left - easy friendly, efficient and quick transaction. Whilst at the till, I created a Sunglasses Hut customer account on my mobile phone - which was quick and easy to do by simply scanning the QR code, and the salesperson sent me my receipt and guarantee via my personal account. I would quite happily use this store again when I am in the market for new sunglasses in the future.

  I didn’t require much assistance from the team when I made my purchase because I knew exactly what I wanted. But they were friendly and chatty with me and my partner and the cashier that put the sale through spoke to me about the benefits of purchasing one of the care kits. I’m sure if I did have any questions or needed any advice they would have been happy to assist but overall a positive experience.

  Purchased a pair of Raybans from the store. Within 3 days one of the arms had completely come apart and a screw gone. I was now left without a pair of reliable quality sunglasses on holiday. I took them back into the store at the hope of a replacement as they were so recently purchased. However, the unhelpful bunch disregarded how new the sunglasses were and just kept saying "lens and screws not covered", not their problem. Have had better quality sunglasses from asos, which is saying something. And the customer service and willingness to help, was non existent. I do not recommend.

  Was advised by my optician that I need good quality sunglasses so went to Sunglasses Hut. I was very impressed with the lady who helped me - she was so friendly and very knowledgeable about what sun protection would be best and what styles suited me. I couldn’t fault it and I got a pair I am really pleased with. I will definitely go here in future!

  I went to the store today with my husband to try on a pair of sunglasses. While we were still browsing, a staff member approached us and said they were closing in 5 minutes . My husband acknowledged this, but instead of giving us a moment to finish up, the staff began moving around us and cleaning directly in front of us with strong-smelling solutions. It felt very uncomfortable and dismissive, as if they didn’t care that we were still customers in the store. This was not a pleasant experience and certainly not the level of customer service I would expect. Customers should be treated with consideration, even close to closing time.
